So Johnny bought a fishing pole on his last trip to keep him busy during his down time away from home. He brought it home and thought it would be great to take the kids. So we headed down the street to a dock that opens up into the Albemarle Sound. So the whole time we are driving there Riley is saying "I can't wait to catch a fish" and Johnny's response is " Riley sometimes it takes a long time to catch a fish,maybe even hours sometimes it takes people 2 or 3 trips before they catch one,Daddy hasn't caught one yet and he's been fishing a couple of times." So we get there and throw the line in several dozen times,Riley then comes up to me and says" Mommy I don't care if we catch a fish,I'm just glad we are having a great time" (my heart melted). It's getting late and Johnny says this is the last time does anyone want to hold the line, Riley volunteers. Johnny hands her the reel and she starts bringing it in,then it starts to get harder then the line takes off! Johnny grabs the pole and and starts reeling it in,we lift it up and it's a FISH! ON her First fishing trip she catches a fish,unbelievable! So we go home and do a little research and we find out she caught a Grey Trout. Needless to say we were so proud of her as well as she being proud of herself. What a great day!

Awwww, so cute. Looks like you had a fun family day. Way to go Riley for catching a fish! My kids love fishing too, we need to take them more often.
